Ah, commuting. What an awful way to start the day. BUT, it doesn’t have to be the WORST thing ever! If, like me, you take (or in my case, took) the VIVA/YRT buses to get to York, then here are some must-have’s for your morning/evening commute!

#1. COFFEE. I honestly don’t know how anyone survives their mornings without coffee. I really don’t…

#2. HEADPHONES. Just sit back, relax, and put on some road trip music to make it feel like you’re in one of those movies where you’re on a Greyhound finally going to wherever it is that you’ve wanted to go for so long!

#3. A BOOK. What if you forget your headphones? BAM. You’ve got a book in your bag. Problem solved. Transporting to a different world…….now!

#4. PRESTO CARD/TICKETS. Let’s be honest here. If you’re a regular commuter, you’ve figured out by now that getting a PRESTO…

Vari Hall “York’s signature building” has four lecture theatres, seminar rooms (classrooms), as well as faculty offices. Vari Hall is a major campus meeting place. Students gather there to study, eat lunch, visit with friends, or just relax and charge their portable devices.



The large three-storey rotunda gave me the impression of the biologic conception of life and the limitless possibilities you have within your four years of being part in the York Community (or any other community).
