How is the food on campus?
It’s pretty awesome, and York University & York Lanes are continuing to add more and more food options for students (A FROZEN YOGURT PLACE AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT ARE COMING TO YORK LANES SOON)! Although I don’t eat on campus that often due to budget reasons, it is always a treat when I do get the chance. York has a variety of food options, and is very accommodating for students with dietary restrictions (ex: Halal, Kosher, Vegan, Vegetarian, etc). It has a great mix of fast food and sit-down places – the only thing that I think is missing is a grocery store, but you can totally buy tons of fresh fruits and veggies at the many Cafs on campus. Overall though, I’d say campus pubs like The Orange Snail, The Absinthe Pub, and The Underground are my favorite places to go!
Like I mentioned earlier though, I don’t really eat on campus that often; however, my fellow RSA, Nicole, has lived on or around campus during her entire time here at York, so she is basically a York U food services expert!
